What I've found is that a lot of science/maths books are aimed at children already in school. Finding resources at an early education level, more conversation based, has been trying.

I'm always looking for anything for my children that ignites natural curiosity and engagement with the living world. Childhood should be about wonder and discovery.

The Nature Detective game was fun, I thought the turtle was hardest to find.

It's hard to find the time to find age-appropriate resources. You're meant to be doing fifty thousand things as a parent. It needs to be easy to add another one.

I think there is a really big gap in Early Childhood STEM. I find it really difficult to overcome people's preconceptions and fears.

The Nature Detective game instigated the idea through everyday places and technology and meant students were already engaged when we did the first activity. Then we were outside, I could hear them using that language and concepts they hadn't known before. And two days later, when they returned, they were still using that language and investigating.
